Every 5 years, the CIPG organises a symposium of Greek Palaeography in the form of an international colloque taking up to a week.

The 9^th colloque will take place in Paris in 2018.

The 7th colloque took place September 15-20, 2008, in Madrid under the patronage of her majesty the Queen of Spain. It was accompanied by an exhibition Lecturas de Bizancio: el legado escrito de Grecia en España in the Biblioteca Nacional de España (September 15 - November 16) for which a richly illustrated catalogue (242 pages) is available. The proceedings will be published as soon as possible.
